Born in Georgia to two Electrical Engineers and gaining another in Chemistry/Business, the world was wide open to Tracy.  Her childhood was marked by a keen interest and talent in art, music, writing, sewing, woodworking, and history.  She loved creating art in every form imaginable. Just imagine how shocked her parents were when she announced, “I want to be a Mechanical Engineer!”  In her mind almost everything we see, touch, and use in our day-to-day lives at one point or another was imagined, created, and or touched by an engineer.  Engineering is not the antithesis of creativity it is creativity in its highest form!  

Tracy was hired into the Pratt & Whitney Turbine Module Center, now Hot Section Engineering (HSE), in June 2002 as an airfoil design engineer.  She has done major and minor airfoil redesigns and clean sheets designs for airfoils in the F135, PW2000, NFBR, V2500, NEO, and the BA/MRJ.  She is a HSE PL3 in both blades and vanes, is well versed in Unigraphics modeling, and also serves as a patent mentor.  

Her perspective of creativity and diversity in engineering has led to the conception of over 200 patents and has earned her a Deputy Design Engineering position at Pratt and Whitney.
